over clocking cpu or ram ???

i overclocked cpu to 1.4 10x140 and then test it at pc pitstop and get a ram speed of 2100 but if i leave it at 9x133 1.2 its 3100 so why the drop? is it better to have a cpu at 1.4 and a low ram speed or a cpu at 1.2 and a high ram speed?

Maybe your bios is set to auto for CAS latency and it is changing the mem timings for you?
I would check that and see if it will run CAS 2-2-2 with fast timings at the higher mem speed, then check the mem test again.
