Over Clocking and Number Crunching

Does anyone out there know if overclocking your processor would generate false results in a computationaly sensitive problem, I mean numbers going far into fractions? I spoke with a few mechanical engineers that do materials testing and they do not overclocking their systems because of such possible errors.
