over clockin a 9500pro

im having a bit of trouble overclockin my radeon 9500pro.

i used the Riva tuner from guru3d.com with the radeon R300 patch. it will over clock but as soon as i run an app, say 3D mark 2003, i check the details of my system and it does report the new frequencies but soon as the chip actually has to do something it switches straight back to stock.

i quit 3d mark 2003 mid flight to check the speeds and they had indeed returned to stock mode.

You have to flash the bios on the 9500Pro because the original bios is frequency locked.
