Over burning a cd

I'm trying to burn an iso image to a cd. It's 727,690 KB. I tried adjust Nero 6.3.1, but it still wouldn't do it. I used a generic CD & a Fuji to no avail.
Is there a better program at overburning?
Thanks.

Have you enabled overburning in Nero? I don't use Nero 6, but it's under the Expert Features in the preferences.

727mb is a little much to fit on a single CD-R. It may not work.

Yes, I tried that. The fellow I got this from did it successfully, tho I don't know what program he used.

If you can't do it in Nero, I doubt you can do it with any other program

Nero is one of the best, and the limitation lies not with the program, but on the physical media

Just a word of caution.

I have burned many CD's oversize without a problem. However, my brother was overburning a CDR on his DVD burner the other night and it has completely knackered the CDR burning facility. It will still burn DVD's but not CD's. In fact it doesn't even read the CD's now. 🙁

I think Nero has a problem with overburning. It's a touchy thing and you have no real idea if it's going to be successful or not until you either finish burning the CD or end up with a coaster as the burner hits an error - but Nero doesn't even try. In my experience, Nero (although I do have an oldish version) flatly refuses to go over 700MB... even on the 800MB cds I have, which Feurio! can correctly recognise as being more than 90 minutes. This is with the 'enable overburning' option ticked, of course.

I'd try alternate programs.

1.) What is "Feurio"?
2.) Can you suggest some alternate programs?

Thanks

If you have a Plextor burner (not sure it works with other brands), go to their site and download their PlexTools. They have a great app in there that lets you overburn.
