They can hang up on you. That's about it. Possibly flag you as a "difficult" customer too, but not much of anything more than that.

They aren't exactly governed by the same laws. Why, you giving her the left handed salute?

They'll either

a) ask you to repeat your question

or

b) read a part of their script that they think references the 'problem' you mentioned based on one 'key word' you might have said in your rant.

Now, about your ghosting problem with your monitor....

heh, I work for a outsourced ISP in Canada for mid-lvl tech support when Im going to school and we get customers all the time who call because we can speak "english"

But if its not an internet problem, and your being an asshole anyway, I'll refer you somewhere else and flag you as a difficult customer :)

As much as I understand that tech support opperators with accents may hinder the ability to fix a problem....since when did tech support help anyways? The only thing tech support is good for is an RMA, other then that your better off just searching google. You realize the reason you get stupid questions from tech support is because they have diffrent tiers, and to move up to a higher more qualified tech rep you have to finish with the first tier which usually weeds out the retards. You may not believe it, but the average person is an idiot when it comes to technology, meaning, they're the reason the tech rep asks you if your monitor is plugged in. Also a lot of the time tech reps are hesitant to send you up to the next tier because it looks bad on their record that they couldn't solve the problem, this can cause them to dwell on it and hopefully solve it, or just give up.

lol it wasn't an actual situation...but if they had been as dimwitted/difficult to understand as my hypothetical situation suggests i would regardless of racial minority (and last time i checked the Indians are only racially 'minor' c/f the Chinese in global terms ;))
