My boss just asked me to research some prices on outsourcing our DNS services for my work as they are trying to cut back their tech department.

I'm hesistant to go with someone like http://granitecanyon.com because they are a free service and run solely on donations.

Any ideas of a good place to use for outsourcing of DNS?

I personally like easydns.com

Its not free and they have alot of other options such as backup mx records to spool your email if you have an email server that goes offline.

Check with your ISP. They will often do it for free, as a bundled service with your circuit.

Yep, your ISP will usually help you out. But remember, it takes a good bit of time to change something in your DNS if you are outsourcing it. I can make changes to our DNS server as we add the servers, and it replicates by that night. Asking your ISP to change something on DNS and the process could take much longer.
