Outsiders observation of OT

I am new here and I would just like to offer my opinion on what I see when I am here. I see some very helpful caring people which is great, it's nice to have people to chat with. I also see people being attacked for useage of grammar, now that I don't understand. To someone new it honestly comes across as people feeling the need to belittle others to boost their own egos. I have seen many post about how it is like a family here and at times you can see it, but not very often. Do I just happen to log in at bad times?

It is like a "family" around here, but like every family there are "issues" or "problems" All in all, its a good bunch, with a few bad apples, but remember this and remember it always, THIS IS THE INTERNET!
