I'm listening to the radio on the way home today, and some tatoo parlor is advertising their patriotic tatoos. And if you don't want a tatoo, they have patriotic body piercings! And then, to top it off, apparently in the guy's best Chris Farley immitation, he blurts out "LET'S FREAKIN SHOW OUR TROOPS SOME SUPPORT! GET A PATRIOTIC TATOO!" Does anyone else find it sickening how people try and capitalize on the war to make a buck?

I think it's called capitalism. The guy's advertising will probably work. People who always wanted a tattoo but thought they might regret it later will be able to rationalize that a patriotic tattoo will be ok.

I thought that was what this war was all about anyhow. Oh, wait, it was about the WMD that are just bulging out of the ground there.

Patriotism is like any other lower emotion, it is marketed. Money is still the biggest god out there.
