I have a Vizio 32 inch LCD, and I am buying a pair of Z-2300 speakers to set up on it. I have my PS3 hooked up via an HDMI cable, and I'm wondering how I would go about outputting the sound to my speakers. Here is a picture of what I have on the back of the television

Can I use the red white RCA audio ports in the HDMI section for output, or is that for input only?

Thanks guys.

Those all look like inputs.

Does the manual for your TV list line out jack(s)? They could be in a completely different section of the back or sides since they would be sending out audio from -all- inputs not just the HDMI inputs.

You would need a processor/receiver. This defeats the purpose of the amplified computer speakers though.

There might be a headphone jack, as DaveSimmons said. If not, you're out of luck. The optical out is digital, while 3.5mm is analog, so all you can do is get a processor/receiver, as PurdueRy said, which means you'd be better off return the 2300s and getting unpowered speakers and a separate sub
