Output from motherboard to TV using component cables is in Blue shades only

I'm having problems with the component output bracket that came with a MSI K8NGM2-FID GeForce 6150 Motherboard. I can see a stable picture (27" tube TV), but it is all in a shade of blue.

The real funny part is that the BIOS screen and windows startup screen that appears when windows is loading looks just fine. It's only after the desktop pops up there is a problem. I quadruple checked the cable hookups, and I know the cable is working because it works just fine with my DVD player. The s-video out on the same bracket works just fine.

I tried changing the video output format from "auto-select" to "composite video-out" (which gives a scrambled picture) and "s-video output" (I get a picture in sepia tones). There is no option for component out.
