Even for 2D, it's been known to be picky about the mobo's chipset. I'd suggest spending an extra $10 or $20 for a Viper770 from Diamond.

I either have to pay a US Anander to ship it to me (another $10) or just forget the whole thing.
60+5+10=75 and you never know whether you'll get that $20 rebate.
It's tempting, but for another $20 you can get a V4 from ForSale here.
Every once in a while, it sucks to be Canadian- but that's only when US stores won't think beyond their borders.
Then again, with Canada Customs being the money-grubbers they are, I can understand why....

Hey this video cards is not that bad, if you have a powerfull processor. I get 72 FPS constant in Counterstrike at 1024X768. Get good rates in Q3A also. It is also perfect for UT because of Metal(the second disk of UT. Also this is the only real competitor for ATIs DVD playback. Also comes with TV out. I mean for $40 is a great buy.

For those with slow CPU, this card might be a good option for DVD hardware decoder. For $40, you can't complain.
