Outpost.com Playstation 2 Order Update

For anyone that ordered a Playstation 2 from Outpost.com...

They will receive around 500 units at launch time... this is way down from the rumored 1500-2000 units!! I just got off the phone with a rep.

Also, she said the next ETA date for Outpost.com is March 1st!!! Now, she said they could get them before that but that is what Sony told them... Notice that you can not even order one from the webpage anymore.

OUCH!!

I ordered this a while ago and got an email from them. They said that they were in short supply, but however since I ordered it early, they said that I WILL be getting the PS2 on the launch date. Hopefully they are right and come through.

i was working on a stock market project for economics and i bought sony then it went down 15 bucks a share because of sony cant make all theirs ps2 and only half....damn sony lost about 3000 fake dollars oh well

I pre-ordered 950,000 of these PS2's. That's why stock is so low everywhere else, cuz they gotta fill my orders first. I ordered them in August of 1993 so I come ahead of everyone.

I'll be edaying them under the name haha-whatever. Starting bid is $800.

I ordered my PS2 from Outpost on July 16. Did they say which months would probably be reciveing thiers?

Just called Outpost again... I ordered mine on July 18th...

They told me they only got 120, instead of the 500 they were expecting!!! March is the next official date!! ARGH!!

Has anyone who pre-ordered from Outpost.com gotten any emails from them concerning their order as in: "you're getting it" or "ha ha, no way", or whatever? I haven't heard a word... I'm sure I wasn't in the first 500 (forget about 120), but an email telling so would've been nice. Is this SOP for them?

Has anyone who called found out when they'll start shipping - or maybe even had it shipped already?

I ordered 50,000 of these PS 2 back in 1990 when the hype was all about PS1....looks like I am gonna be rich!!
