outlook2000 and office 2000

right built a pc for my boss to replace his laptop and all of a suddon today his outlook 2000 loads then he enters his password and it imidiatly closes? WTF

and now all office apps are doing the same ??? WTF

anyone help with a solution of whats gone wrong???

i have tried to repair / reinstalled - repaired windows 2000 -- removed last installed program ---- uninstalled / rebooted and reinstalled ( that bit was weird cus it still had his profile listed)

Anyone????????
