Outlook XP: Restoring E-mail from Windows 2000 to new install of XP?

How do I get my Inbox and Deleted Mail messages onto my new install of Office XP from a previous install? Restoring preferences (junk senders, signature) would be nice too. I wiped Windows 2000 and did a clean install of Windows XP Pro on a new hard drive. The previous hard drive has been formatted and sold to a friend, however I did save the entire Program Files and Application Data folders off of it... am I in luck or screwed?

you old pst folder lies within c:\documents and settings\%user%\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst unless it was manually changed. so if you saved everything under the application data folder it should still be in there. from there you just need to go into outlook and go to file, import, pst. That's it.
