Outlook XP problems

This is starting to get frustrating. For some reasons, even on a fresh install of Windows XP, Outlook XP and Outlook express refuse to store my passwords when they shut down, and thus, I get prompted for all of them again when I restart them. Does anyone know of this problem and of a fix to it?
