Outlook XP Problem

I've got a weird problem that seems to happen only once every, say, 10 reboots....

Occasionally, when I go to shut down my PC, it brings up the little "Ending Program" for Outlook ... even though I completely quit the application (well obviously it didn't). Nothing shows on the taskbar, and if I hit "end now" the computer ends it and turns off ...

It's not a major issue, just a minor irritation. Suggestions?

If you want to TRACK the reason for the app hanging on shutdown,
you can try this. (remember to backup your registry first - Regedit / File / Export )

To add Shutdown Event Tracker, go to Start/Run/Regedit

then navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Reliability

Create a new DWORD value or modify the existing value named "ShutdownReasonUI" and set it to "1" to enable shutdown event tracking. When enabled an additional drop-down option box will be displayed with various planned and unplanned shutdown reasons. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.

The info will be located in the Event Log.
