I asked this in the Software forum but got no response. I know there are a few people in this forum with exchange experience, so here goes..

We run client systems with Windows XP SP2, and Office XP SP3 (Outlook XP). Our Windows 2000 Server runs Exchange Server 2000.

All of our email is handled by an external/outsourced pop/smtp server, and as such, our Outlook installs are not yet configured with our exchange server.

We would like to have our Outlook Calendars shared between users. I'm wondering if this is possible and how do we go about doing this?

I've tried searching but just get a bunch of programs that offer this feature. And I havent found anything that will really let us set this up.

Suggestions? danke!

Are you looking for a way to share calendars without being on the Exchange server or how to do it once you get on the Exchange server?

If it's the later sharing of calendars is automatic. By default you can see when someone has something scheduled in their Calendar or when they are out of the office. You can't see the details of it, only when they are free or busy.

This is only true if you mark the item as private.

No, he's talking about when you schedule a meeting. You can see 'blocks' of time when the attendees have other meetings, but you can't see the details. You're talking about actually viewing another user's calendar, which requires the user to explicitly share it. Then you can view details of their appointments, except the ones they mark as private.

That is absolutely false. Just hover over that "block" of time. You can see what it is specifically for, again unless they've marked it as private.

If you have an admin account on the server and have view rights to the mailbox or you have been granted rights to view that calendare then yes it will show you that information. However if you don't you can't see the details of their calendar. Stash's link clearly explains that.
