outlook takes 60 seconds to open in XP

sorry to bother with such a little problem but i just installed windows XP on a clean new system. i havnt installed too too much else yet. im running an amd 1800+ with 512 ram, so i cant figure out outlook takes so damn long to open all the sudden. it wasnt doing this from the start. it hangs on the blue loading screen for awhile, and then it gets in and the graphics look cutoff for a bit before it finally kicks in. anyone have any clues how i could fix this?

NICE fix! thanks alot, it worked. i did uninstall windows messenger. what the hell is the deal with that ? god thats seriously terrible, you uninstall MSM and outlook express takes forever to open. i dont even know anyone that uses windows messenger and its being forced down everyones throat.
