At my office I get a few series of e-mails that I would like to just keep the most recent and delete the last one. I would like accomplish this with a rule, because a lot times I forget to delete the old ones and we don't have much space on the server.
Here are two examples:
So what I would like to do in both cases is:
I know that I may need to use VBA for the second item, but I have never used VBA in outlook so I don't know where to start with that.
Thanks
Here are two examples:
- I get an e-mail every morning telling us all of the work going on at the base that day, scheduled arrivals and departures, etc. I always want to keep these for the whole day, but then I usually forget to delete them the next day so I end up with 30 of them.
- I also get an e-mail about once every other week (random, though) of all of the work scheduled for the next 10 years. As you can imagine, this changes quite a bit, so they send out updates. All I care about is the most recent update.
So what I would like to do in both cases is:
- Move the e-mail when it is received to a specific folder (I have this handled with a rule)
- Delete the previous e-mail, so only the newest copy remains
I know that I may need to use VBA for the second item, but I have never used VBA in outlook so I don't know where to start with that.
Thanks
