Hey.... I heard you can tell outlook to automatically reject .exe attachments from even making it to your mailbox.... is this true? And if so, how do you do it?

For all the effort you put into writing that kind of a response, you could have just helped me out too. I don't know why everyone has to be such a cop here all the time.
Besides, have you checked the help files.. "help, coming soon".. it's not much of a help. I know there is a software forum, but it's really slow in there and I kind of just wanted a quick answer, it's not like I haven't been around and I don't know that there are other forums.

If you patch your outlook with the SR-1 email security patch it would not allow you to open any exe files. Just go to officeupdate.microsoft.com and it will dectect what patches that you need. I don't think that it would block it but it would not allow you to save it or run it at least in Outlook 2k for me. Kindof of pain though if you email files to yourself. It will allow you to open a zip file so that works. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks Tech. So I guess there isn't a manual setting that I could do that would just block exe's from my inbox then eh?
