Hey guys!

How does one keep the "sent Items" folder clean, without manually going in and deleted all of the items. I poked around and bit and couldnt find a "scheduled cleaner" for it (IE: Empty sent items folder every 48 hours).

Does anyone know of a way to keep the sent items folder clean? Do I need to write script?

Thanks guys!

Uncheck the "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder". You'll find this option on the Email Options page in Options.

What if we want the items in the "sent items" folder to exist for 24-48 hours?

The only way I would know how to do it automatially would create a macro within Outlook. If you're using Outlook2003, as a workaround you could use a search folder that shows every sent item that's older that 2 days, then just delete them manually

Nothing automated, eh?

Ideally what I'd like to do it have all items in the sent folder deleted when they're 48 hours old automatically. Hrm....

I'm gonna go with this solution, thanks MT!
