Hi, I have a few questions about outlook and its .pst file. Is there any difference between just saving the .pst file as opposed to exporting to a .pst file? Also, does the .pst file save all of my settings (address book, calendar, etc..) or are those stored somewhere else? The reason I ask is because I like to format every once in a while so I was thinking that I could store the .pst file on my d: drive and just change outlook to use that .pst as the data file after I format? Would that work? Thanks in advance.

I have found that just copying the .pst file saves address book, calendar etc, but doesn't save the settings for your email servers. But then I know those settings off the top of my head, so that's no big deal for me :)

I've not lost anything by just copying the PST file, rather than exporting it. I think Exporting it is just a "newbie" way to do a copy of it ;)
