here is a strange problem;

i am unable to access my outlook files (mail)
everytime i try and open it it gives me a profile not found error, so i log on as another user who does have access (different log in name) and redreate my user name as a mail profile, still a no go. i have aslo gone to mail in the control panel and deleted my previous profile thinking it was corrupted. Anyone know how i gain access back to my mail?

By deleting your mail profile, you might also have removed the corresponding .PST that contains your mail... Do a search for *.PST and see if you can still find it. Assuming that you have a valid, correctly-configured e-mail account, you should be able to goto File... Open... Personal Folders File (.pst) and browse to the appropriate file.

More information (Outlook version, etc.) would be helpful. :)

What OS are you running? Did you install the Windows Messaging patch? Go to Control Panel... Add/Remove, '86 it and reinstall it. If you don't have or know where the original installer went, just go to Windows Update, click Product Updates, and see if lists a patch that includes it. Using WindowsUpdate regularly is a good idea, anyhow. What version of IE do you have? Updating it to at least v5.01 might help. Completely uninstalling/reinstalling OL97 may fix things, too. Backup the .PST before doing anything.
