For some reason I cannot send email from my outlook 2003 when I am at my house. It worked just fine at my apartment at school. I was on Time Warner down there and am now on SBC Yahoo DSL up here. I can receive email from any of my POP3 accounts but I cannot send for any reason at all. I am running Office 2003 on Win xp pro sp2.

I have tried to change my mail servers to the sbc servers, but that doesnt work either.

Help!!

In the account information dialog box for your Time Warner email account, click the More Settings button and go to the Outgoing Server tab. Check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Allow it to use the same username / password as your POP3 settings.

Ahh...beat me to it. Is it possible that SBC isn't allowing email to be relayed?

That was my first suspicion but he says that it doesn't work even when using SBC's mail server.

Yeah I looked on with SBC's website and found their mail server and tried to put that in for at least my smtp server, becuase thats the only one i am having a problem with. What is really strange is that it works on other computers in the house, I believe, but not on my laptop which is wireless and was set up on Time Warner before.
