Hi,

I am running Win2k3 Server with AD at the office. We have a exchange server externally hosted and this morning when starting outlook some of the users (including me) got a message explaining "The logon credentials supplied have expired. You must change your password before logging on to Microsoft Exchange".

I don't know what to do, I am not able to change the exchange password but the windows password. But it does not help.

What does this mean? Is it a problem on our local server or on the exchange server?

Externally hosted = call support. Likely you need to use outlook to change the password but they might have a login (like OWA) to help you do it.

Imagoon: Thanks for your reply.:)

Our exchange server is hosted in a country 7hours after our time. I have to wait 2.5 more hours before the support opens.

Forgot to mention that even the webmail does not work. Tells us the login/password is incorrect.

Does this confirm that it is an error on their part and not for our AD-server?

Can't really confirm that. Some external exchange services link up to your local AD, others don't. I have no idea how yours was implemented.

The support woke up and they managed to solve the problem with the passwords.
You feel very powerless when there's not much you can do.

Thank you very much for you help!
