Outlook not displaying all inbox messages

I have a client using Outlook XP, and all of his messages are not displaying in the inbox. On the status bar, it says there are ~1300 messages in the inbox. It also shows that there are 3 unread messages. I see around 30 of them, and they are all read. It's like the messages just disappeared. The new messages that arrive in the inbox are fine and it doesn't appear that any more messages are being "hidden" anymore. Is this a possible corrupt .pst file? Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks for any help.

I ran the inbox repair tool and the scanpst.exe that is included with Windows and I have had no luck. Any ideas?
