Outlook doesn't seem to have a built in e-mail notification when you receive a new e-mail. I've seen a couple of add-ins online and am wondering if there are any recommendations as to which might be best.

This one seems pretty good

Anyone use this one, or have one they can suggest which is better?

?

Sure it does. Every version of Outlook I can remember puts an envelope in the notification area of the taskbar and plays a sound. 2003 and above pop a "toast" that shows part of the email when it comes in.

In fact, your link shows what it looks like: http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/outlookmailalert.htm
The only difference is that the built in one doesn't have that option menu on it.

BTW, the setting in 2003 is in Tools, Options, Preferences tab, Email Options, Advanced Email Options, "When new items arrive in my Inbox..." Bunch of settings here.

This is enabled by default.

Doh, you're right. I just recently started using Outlook and there's so many options and settings, I've never found this. It wasn't on by default and I never dug down far enough into the options. I suppose I should probably RTFM. :p

Oh, and thanks! :)
