Outlook is getting slower, how can i make it faster?

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2007
the .pst file is around 3.5GB
when i load up outlook it takes like 5 minutes to have it load.

How can i make outlook become more faster than before?

I don't delete emails as it is my working emial.

I have two PST files, one is 2GB, the other is 1GB. Outlook 2007 loads quickly for me after I turned off all unnecessary plugins.

is it all text or does it have a bunch of attachments, remove as many attachments as you can.
