My Outlook keeps downloading the same emails over and over and marking them as new and not read, when actually I have already went through them. This is getting truly annoying. Any solutions.
 
Do you have it set to keep a copy of messages on the server? Uncheck that if so. If that doesn't work, if you have webmail access to that email account, try deleting the messages through webmail, if no webmail, telnet into your mailserver and delete them.
 
Thanks werk, I have it set to NOT keep a copy on the server. I still want the messages, but I do not want them marked unread everytime I send/receive.
 
Well, you already have at least one copy stored locally (the ones that OL keeps downloading), so why do you care if they're deleted off the server?
