What can be causing this and how can I fix it? This has been occurring in a any Win2K install I've done(3 so far). Sometimes I do think that JPEG's have no role in the crashes, since I can have lots of IE windows openn and wham!!! Crash!!! When it crashes, everything moves in slow motion: the mouse is nearly non-functional, but left and right clicking get the ie windows to scroll a little at a time. All other programs behave the same with much delayed reactions to trying to close them, etc... Nothing is overclocked. Also, all of the desktop icons change to wierd icons, like winamp or other ones, and there is no consistency to what the icons change to. I thought the built in V3 drivers in Win2K may be causing the crashes, but it does this even with the latest V3 drivers. Can something like a marginal IDE cable do this since pic transfers may be more taxing? This system is rock stable in Win98... There are no corresponding entries in the event log either to give a clue as to what is occuring. Someone please help!
