I just finished setting up a peer to peer network with shared folders and printers. How do I access an email acct. that's setup on computer A from computer B?
TIA
Mike
Outlook Express is really a one-computer application. You can't share it's mail store database between two different computers. You could setup both computers to access the mail account and have Outlook express on both of them - One trick is to make sure that neither of them delete the e-mail messages as they retrieve them, and set one to delete them after 5 or so days. That leaves them on the mail server for a few days so both computers can download them. That's what I do and it works like a champ - Only catch is that you'll have two different Sent messages on different computers - Not the end of the world.
I haven't tried it.. but I don't see why you couldn't change the change the store folder on Computer B (under tools->options->maintenance tab->store folder to a shared drive from computer A. Should (might) work. Granted Computer A would always need to be on.
