On my current system, I am using Outlook Express to retrieve my school's email. However, i want to do an upgrade and put in a new HDD with a new OS. Does anyone know how to get the old emails that were stored on my old HDD into my new (also using Outlook Express)? In another words, to transfer old email messages to the new computer. Thanks!

Open Outlook express and select the files that you want to export.

then

File > Export > Messages... > (then follow the Wizard to save your messages to a folder to be extract/import in the sew setup)

In OE, click File|Import and choose the version of OE you previously used. Choose, "Import mail from a store directory." Browse to where your old OE stored its DBX files (usually C:\Windows\Application Data\Identities\<your identity>\Microsoft\Outlook Express).

You do not have to explicitly export the messages. Just make sure your old DBX files are saved.
