outlook express wont run anymore??

any time i try to run outlook express it gives the following error:

"The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction"

followed by some random numbers/letters. it just started doing this today. i haven't downloaded any programs since the last time i ran oe so i dunno what the problem could be.

NTVDM = NT virtual DOS machine. Don't think outlook is an emulated DOS program, so, virus maybe?

/edit: Have you tried reinstalling outlook from your windows CD?

i'm at my parent's house and don't have access to my windows cd

lol so i installed thunderbird and i was able to transfer my emails over (even though it still gave errors). now to back this up to my other harddrive so i can just format everything
