Outlook Express/Windows XP problem (I think) ????

I have Windows XP Home on my Dell computer. two times now when I have started Outlook Express, It has opened with TOTALLY BLANK in-boxes, address book, everything is gone and it is like I just installed Outlook Express or am just running it the first time EXCEPT the folders I have created like "Stored E-Mail" are there but EMPTY. There is the trusted First E-Mail from Outlook Express 🙁 and all my old e-mails are gone and addresses are gone. Never returned. I think it is n issue with XP only becuase it is like a new user is being set up. I have run brand new McAfee virtus software and find no viduses. Why wouldl all my stuff just GO AWAY ? I searched my computer for all *.dbx files to see if the old folder contents were there and they are not -- only the existing folders which are empty.
