Outlook Express runs like cold booger..

:disgust: I have been experiencing some hardcore problems with Outlook Express. Every time I get an E-mail with or without attachments from one particular source, Outlook Express tries to translate it with WordPerfect 10 in one of a dozen incompatible formats. The mail as far as I can tell was in mime format to begin with, and it used to open up just fine. Now for some reason, the pics I have already opened from this source are now unreadable as well. It seems as though my original program has been trashed or substituted with some variety of imposter. On top of this problem, my Express progam seems to be running exceptionally slow in respect to upload/download procedures of any sort. In the event that it helps any, I am running WinME on a 1.4 Athalon with 256SDRAM on Fusenet with a 56K Modem (sorry no highspeed access yet). I thought that maybe my inbox had too much garbage (high meg variety) that might slow me down, but I dumped all that and it still takes a minute or two to download. I don't think that I have a virus, but considering my firewall is standard MSN fare, it has crossed my mind. Any ideas?

;) I forgot to add the fact that I have recently (after the problems previously mentioned) started using PhotoSuite II to do my scanning and attachment tasks, and I have repeatedly had problems with the operation of this program as well. It either refuses to back out when I'm done, or crashes altogether (I.E. requires an "improper shutdown" to get out). The only reason I started using PhotoSuite to begin with is that my PrintShop program (for some unknown reason) absolutely refuses to scan anything over six megs or so. It might have something to do with the fact that it was geared for Win95. Go figure.
