Outlook Express Question!!

I am on a dial up connection and whenever I open up outlook express to check my mail it disconnects me then tries to connect again. how do i stop this????
 
Well, too much automation sometimes has a mind of its own. Under Tools\Options, and the General Tab . . . check the 1st box, uncheck everything else. Under Send/Receive Tab, nothing checked. In Internet Properties, Connection, the "Never" box should be checked.
