Outlook Express Problems with Windows XP

I am running Windows XP SP1 and am using Outlook Express v6.0

I have a problem that whenever I close Outlook Express it still remains active in Task Manager. It closes fine and opens again without issue but a Ctrl + Alt + del shows that MSIMN.EXE is still active and consuming a large amount of memory.

How can I solve this problem?
