alrighty, i have cable internet service, when i check my main with outlook express, it fails. Here is what is says

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'LaSt', Server: 'localhost', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

The problem is that it has localhost as incomming mail server. I went to Road Runners Online tech support and they said to change the incomming mail server to
pop-server.carolina.rr.com. I did and it work correctly in checking mail.

The problem is that everytime i reboot the computer, it resets the incomming mail server as 'localhost'.

Does anyone know how to fix or stop it from reseting?

Thx,
Bryson

i am win xp as well, and had that problem, i deleted my idenity, and made a new one, setting it up just like the old one. and that worked.

Since Outlook Express is built-in to Internet Explorer, you can try repairing internet explorer to attempt to repair Outlook Express...

here's my link

If that doesn't work, try disabling / uninstalling any virus scan software
Otherwise, try uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook Express.
