Outlook Express Problem

I am attempting to export my messages from outlook express so I can reformat. I am getting the error "unable to initialize MAPI". Im doing some research on technet to try to figure out what MAPI is and how to fix this problem but im not finding much. Can anybody out there help me?
 
You don't need to export in OE. Just copy the files to wherever you want to store them.

Or go to options and you can change the store location to wherever you want.
