**SIGh** Nope....all icons are ok everywhere else. I do have a problem with burning CD's though. It underbuffers EVERYTIME. I have 160mb ram right now and when I had 256mb it was doing the same. I have no clue....this system has gotten me beat up!!!

The weird thing is.....whenever I try to show my roomie this problem, it comes out fine!!! This happened 2 times!!! LMAO!!! But he saw it again today and he said that it looked crazy. There was a picture of my computer on the send button once. These pictures that are on the toolbar icon are very distorted but if you look closely you can make it out sometimes. I'm so fed up with this.....its saddening.

I figured it out... it's that blasted KDS monitor of yours! Well, not really of course, but my KDS is sad (a personal problem, I know!)

I don't know if this is the problem with your outlook express or your buffer underrun but when my burner was doing and underrun it turned out to be a bad cpu. I had 256 mb of ram and a SCSI Yamaha burner and I would get the underrun whether I did it off the hdd or the cd-rom.

My OS (win98se) is in english and when I installed MSOffice in french it sort of rendered outlook express....weired is the only term that's suitable. Have you by chance installed some other MS product in a second language?
As for burner buffer underrun I can only think that you have some background proggies running that you are not aware of and are causing this. That is why I got a scsi yamaha burner.

Sounds like you need to 'restore' the icons (I think tweakUI does this??) and then grab all the windows updates, as for the buffer under-run I dunno, maybe bad busmastering drivers (or stupid generic ones.)

Thanks all for the tips.......but the underbuffer problem has been a pain to me too....I have tried running it off the hdd and closing ALL programs from hitting ctrl, alt & del. I have changed it to primary slave, secondary master, primary master, and secondary cable select and I can't get it to go. I have burn-proof so i can make my CDs....it just takes the time of a 4-6x burner. Someone told me to change all mp3 to wav then trying it, but I have not done that yet.

As for my stooooopid outlook express.....all the icons look normal except that they are now colorless. But at least its not fuzzy weird pictures right now. And I have a bad feeling that when I shut off, back to fuzzy icons. I think I should try the update.
