My father's mail account (he uses outlook express) has not been recieving any messages in about 12 hours now. I tried sending him a couple of mails from my hotmail and gmail accounts to see if he'd recieve those, to no avail.
Now, I'm pretty sure that the problem is the server, and not client based (the mail server is offered by his ISP, and it has been historically somewhat crappy). However he can SEND mail with no problem. My father is not very computer savy and he is starting to think there's something wrong with the telephone line (! - he is on DSL). I tell him that that probably doesn't have anything to do with that as long as the internet connection is working. It's not a problem with the client program (Outlook) because Thunderbird is not getting anything either.
I am pretty sure is not a client problem. What can I tell him to convince him?
