hey all,
i think outlook express (v. 6.00.2800.1123) crashed while cleaning up my pop3 email accounts. now i can't access anything. the directory structure that was there is lost. instead of listing the few folders and several subfolders, it now lists only all the directories, some of which are repeated, it has the same name, just a (1) at the end of it.
when i got to the storage folder, the .dbx files are still there, and still huge. when i go through the directories only the storage folder where i had email that was from 2002 is still visible. otherwise i can't get to sent mail or regular inboxes.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated as the last time i backed up email was 4 months ago.
i can post the cleanup log file if it helps.
