Outlook express: email, click on a link, nothing happens

My OS is XP home, with all of the current updates.

I use the MS outlook express for my email.

I was on vacation, and installed the Walmart connect software (dialup), so I could get on the net.
I returned home, and removed the software, via the add/remove feature in the OS.

After rebooting, any email that I receive, if I click on the link, nothing happens.

Can this be repaired?

John, thank you for the links.

I had to click on the button, that resets my web settings.

Now the links are working.
