1) Is there any way I can stop Outlook Express from downloading emails with attachments unless I specify that I want them downloaded. ie Everytime it encounters an email with an attachment, I want it to ask me whether it should download it or no.

2) Copied a few songs from an mp3 cd and its full of files names Track 1, track 2 etc. Is there an easier way to rename them rather than go about it manually?
anything analogous to a CDDB lookup I can use?

1.) If you go to Tools, Message Rules, Mail...you can set some rules for messages. Unfortunately, it's not very customizeable. You can tell it to delete the email from the server without downloading it, but the only rules applicable are "message over a certain size" or "message with an attachment".

This means you will either have to not get any attachments over, say, 2mb (crappy quality mp3) or not get any messages with attachments at all.

2.) I haven't found an easier way other than doing it manually...sorry.
