Outlook Express Annoyance

When I manual click on "send and receive", it breaks my internet connection, then brings up the dial window for that same connection. If I let it reach the time when it automatically checks for new mail, it works fine. Also disconnects when I compose a message and click "send". I only have one Dial up networking connection set up. I have tried the different settins as far as "never dial", "always dial", etc......

Set it for LAN and not dialup connection. As a LAN connection, the method used for connecting is irrelevant

I think if you look harder there is a place that says hangup after recieving the E-mail...
