Outlook Express and latest I-Give e-mail

I add this here because I joined I-Give to help D.Net and you may have, also. Anyway, this morning, my Outlook Express continually gave me a "Memory Error" and referenced an area that could not be "written." It appeared to be hanging up on an incoming e-mail, so I used a web-based e-mail tool and looked at my POP-3 inbox. The first message was an Announcement from I-Give. It wouldn't display correctly in that e-mail client, so I deleted it. Closed that client, then re-opened Outlook Express. No problem now.

So, if your Outlook Express is acting crazy, that may be the reason. I notified I-Give, but who knows how that will go. The message has already been sent.

Sometimes I do get phantom messages, hearing the new message notification but nothing shows up in my inbox list.

I have been unable to receive email for over a week on my MSN account, though my hotmail account works fine.

I get a message saying that there are no new messages.

MSN tech support says that one possibility is that I was sent email larger than thier mail server's 2.3MB max size limit and that their mail server may have choked on it. They said yesterday that it could take up to four days for them to resolve the problem...sheesh.

I subscibe to DNet's mailing list, and I'm not familiar with I-Give, so I'm not sure if my problem is related to yours JonB.

Seems odd though that sending someone a greater than 2.3MB email would choke a major mail server like MSN's.

If true I would think it to be a fairly common occurance.

Any one else heard about this?
