I have two installation of Windows, one is clean install and one, on the older hard drive.
To make a long story short, I would need manually transfer address book from older hard drive to new one. Does anybody know which file/folder contains address book entries ?

You can just export it from within Outlook express into a text file from the original hard disk and import the text file it into the new installation, it'll fit onto a floppy easily.

In Outlook Express click file/export/address book, click on text file (seperated by comma's) then export. select where you want the file saved, click next and then select all the field you want to save in the text file. Done.

To import, click file/import/other address book, click on text file and select the file.

The file is in the c:\windows\application data\microsoft\address book\ folder called *.wab if you want to copy it manually, you might have problems though.

thanks!

The problem was I was unable to export it from old hard drive (Windows would not boot any more). Copying address book manually worked. Thanks!

andrey: Have you ever considered switching to Eudora for email? Just curious, as I made the switch back after using Outlook for awhile (still use it at work, #@$^$#!!), and I remembered why I liked Eudora so much and hated Outlook.

It's been free after rebate in a couple places lately (Staples is the last one, not sure if it's still valid). Just an FYI! :)
