Outlook Express 5.5 No Spell Check

I am running Windows 2000, Office 2000. Outlook Express spell check button does not highlite. There is no error message, just no spell check. I have searched MS files, but no help. Any solutions?

I don't know any specifics, but someone told me there was a problem with Outlook Express 5.5 and the spell check with Word 2000. I use Office 97 and 5.5 works fine.

chriswood - break out your copy of Office 2000 and check and see if spell-check is installed... I had the same problem and had to re-install spell check that way.

what version of outlook express are you using? if the one that came with MS office 2000, then take out the cd and and so what Uber said

You mean you can't use the spellcheck option when you type a new message within OE?

Are you talking about Outlook "express" the built in e-mail application with Windows
or
Microsoft "Outlook" from the Office suite?
