outlook export

I am trying to move outlook .pst data from a Win xp machine to Win 2000 machine.I have saved outlook .pst files. When I try to import the .pst files to the other machine I get the following message. "File access denied. You do not have the required permission to access the file". Has anyone run into this before?

You didn't happen to save it to a CD?

If so, copy to HD and remove 'READ ONLY' attribute from the file.
