Outlook email problem

Outlook on my computer, and on my phone, are giving me errors about my account settings being out of date. This happens about 5-10 times a day. No matter how many times I put the correct password in, it keeps telling me it's wrong.
Bluehost, my server provider, tells me I have all my settings correct. Microsoft tells me it must be my server.
Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting/fixing account settings? Is your computer time settings synced?
Didn't even occur to me. What exactly about account settings would I look at fixing or resetting?
And also, do you mean time settings like all the devices having the same time? Yes, they do.

Give these a try.

1] Restart your computer and log in using your Microsoft Account and see if this stops the notifications from appearing.

2] Did you change any of your Microsoft Account settings online? Maybe you changed your password. If so, your Mail app may want to sync its settings with Outlook. You should make sure that your latest password is the same on the web, in the Mail app and Outlook if you use it.

3] Check your Windows computer time. Open Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Date and Time > Internet Time. Uncheck Synchronize with an Internet time server and set your system time manually. See if this helps.

Having done these, see if the notification still appears or if the Fix problem button now works.

I only use my personal email server. I don't use my live account at all so I haven't touched the password.

I tried that yesterday, on my phone and desktop. I guess I should also do it on the laptop?

The notification still appears, I don't know what the Fix Problem button is.
What version of outlook? Do you have all the latest updates?
2016, and yes, I apparently do have all the updates.

Something else (if it's relevant) I have other email accounts on the same server and this doesn't happen to them at all except for my wife's email. The other accounts don't have the problem. This couldn't possibly have something to do with how often the accounts are used, could it? That makes no sense.

Another update:
This is clearly only something that happens when I'm at home on WiFi. So, it acts up when my phone and desktop are on the same internet network? How does that work?
